The 2026 season has officially wrapped up, and what a year it’s been for the mighty Two Blues! 💙🩵 From our youngest juniors to our seasoned senior players, the end-of-season presentations were a fitting celebration of another year filled with hard-fought matches, team spirit, and club pride. Across every grade, we recognised the dedication, effort, and heart that make Wanderers Rugby Club so special. 🏉

Players votes are collected and tallied after each game, the player tallying the most across the season across all grades is awarded Wanderer’s Players’ Player.

Steve Lee Award – Claire Brown

Awarded to the Women’s team player who is a consistent performer in terms of team statistics (tackles, tries, run metres, line breaks, tackle busts, offloads, handling errors, penalty cards etc). Consistency is assessed in terms of performance on the field during games and at training as well as attendance at games and training throughout the season. The award is given to a player whose performance on and off the field reflects the best effort all season.

Wanderer of the Year – Luke Sherwood

This award was established in memory of John Hill (Club President 1943-1958) The recipient is determined by the Board to recognise an individual for an outstanding contribution to Wanderers RFC during that year.

Angus Hedges Junior Club Person of the Year – Ollie Paddinson 

This is awarded to the player who best displays our Club values and ethos and has made the most significant contribution to the Club on and off the field.

Junior Wanderer of the Year – Brooke Cotterell 

For coordinating club events and for organisation of U16s Japan Tour 2026 and associated fundraising.
